These good men were put into a dangerous and unnecessary situation

Ohh right, so getting guns out of the hands of drug dealers and gangs is unnecessary? Heres an idea you idiot, how about you move into the projects in brownsville Brooklyn or Bed-Stuy Brooklyn and live there for 6 months. Get back to me after your time there and let me know how 'unnecessary' it is to try to control the animalistic behavior of some people. The guy that shot these 2 cops is a PIECE OF SH*T!!

PM me if you are interested in moving to NYC projects for 6 months of living in a drug infested gang controlled hell hole. I live a few hours north of there and would be glad to be of any assistance to you. Oh, and don't try to call me anti-gun or a liberal- because I have about 20 guns in my safe. I am a hunter and I am getting into collecting guns.

What good are guns locked up in a safe? Well, it's good for the criminal busting down your door.

Controlling behavior is a far different business than disarming law-abiding, honest people.

We can carry our pistols and long guns in public without a permit around here (Fairfax County, Virginia), and this area is about as urban as Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Newark, etc.

Our murder and violence rates are far lower than those of any New York borough.

It has something to do with controlling behavior and devoting police resources to that task.

We agree about the nature of the murderer. There is only disgust for him on my side.
Creating crime and opportunities to commit crime in order to prevent crime is a bad policy, as illustrated by this situation.
I've lived in the hood, been shot at and seen whore, ganstas slinging dope and all that crap. If you want to trade your liberties for a false sense of security, I'm to have to tell you the only idiot in this conversation is the one you see in the mirror.
