"One question Mr. Annan has never addressed is why he and his wife felt comfortable availing themselves of this generous arrangement." Could it be because he's a corrupt bastard and we've never bothered to curtail his thievery? The people who should be answering this question are the people who run the housing authority. Why are these people getting double subsidies from NY and US taxpayers? How many Americans are on the waiting list for these apartments?

FYI..the buggest, and least publicized, UN financial scandal is that US citizens who are employees of the UN receive complete 100% reimbursement by the UN for all of the federal income taxes they pay each year.
