To be frank, I distrust an American who has too many vowels in his first name, especially if both sides of his family has been here for a couple hundred years. To be fair, I would have the same problem if I met a fellow with the same background who had dubbed himself "Lbnkrd." There's something afoot when there is an exotic name change, but no conversion on the road to Damascus. I realize that Obama is his "real" name, and am only speaking generally.
