A woman who reported a vicious attack by an ad-hoc "modesty patrol" on a Jerusalem bus last month is now lining up support for her case and may be included in a petition to the High Court of Justice over the legality of sex-segregated buses. Miriam Shear says she was traveling to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City early on November 24 when a group of ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) men attacked her for refusing to move to the back of the Egged No. 2 bus. She is now in touch with several legal advocacy and women's organizations, and at the same time, waiting for the police to apprehend her attackers. In her first interview since the incident, Shear says that on the bus three weeks ago, she was slapped, kicked, punched and pushed by a group of men who demanded that she sit in the back of the bus with the other women...

If you really are completely unaware of 2000 years of continuous Christian persecution (a persecution often promoted by the kind of blind bigotry displayed in your post) I would suggest that you take a trip back to high school.

Our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, who is King of the Jews and the King of Kings will return during a second Advent which will be even more spectacular than anything in the last 2000 years. Vengeance is His. Today we live in an age of grace.

He is here for the Jew first, and Gentile second. The true Jews as God created them, follow Him faithfully as their their true Jewish faith was given them. Those counterfeit Jews who reject Him merely provide an eternal memorial in heaven of their foolish rejection.

It's incredibly difficult to observe a body of people falsely accuse somebody, beat him up, force him to carry a cross for mile, crucify Him, and then claim they were the ones being persecuted. Christians have all kind of traditions that I find extremely strange, including: vows of chastity, belief in a virgin birth, eating the flesh of their god and drinking his blood. How would you feel if I mocked those traditions?

Isaiah 7:14 is where Christians find the prophecy of a '...virgin shall conceive...' using your claim of 'extremely strange' dates further back than 2000 years. Further you have completely misrepresented the eating 'flesh', what was used to represent the 'body' was unleavened bread dating back to the time of Moses and the exodus. The blood, which is the life of the body was spilled and fermented 'grape' juice, from the vine also specifically foretold by one of those so called 'minor' prophets was used as symbolic representation.

Christianity got its foundation from Christ's own mouth by the holy prophets all the way back to Moses.

What I won't argue with you about is that treatment of women since Eve crosses all cultures.

Only one problem with your analogy. She was on a PUBLIC bus. If the Haredi owned the bus, they would be free to make whatever rules they want. In fact I would fully support them in kicking troublemakers off the bus, or better, in not picking them up in the first place.

My understanding is that Egged is a public bus company which picks up anyone wanting a ride. As such they need to have uniform rules that apply to everyone equally. That means, no one forced to sit at the back of the bus for any reason. It is insulting.

If the Haredi want women to sit at the back, they need to buy their own buses. Alternately, they could work out an arrangement with Egged so that buses meant for them were clearly marked as such and didn't allow non Haredi to use them.

It used to be a 'local custom' that blacks were forced to use the back of the bus in much of the southern US as well. I guess you would have supported that 'local custom' too, even though most people would call you a racist for doing so, and in the US we have passed laws against such 'local customs'.

Whoa, you better get your enemies straight. While there are/have been people claiming to be Christian who killed Jews for no other reason than being Jewish, I think we know who the real enemy is of both religions.

BTW, Are you a religious Jew or just someone of Jewish ancestry who gets to claim oppressed status? I ask because The Torah (The Old Testament) prophesies a virgin birth.
