BEIRUT, Lebanon -- Sen. John Kerry, on a visit to Lebanon Monday, called for moving away from "the ideologies of extremism" and urged political reconciliation among rival factions to resolve the country's deepening political crisis.

Kerry and Senator Christopher Dodd met Monday with anti-Syrian Lebanese leaders as well as an ally of the militant group Hezbollah to discuss the crisis a day before the pair head to neighboring Syria.

...

"We are very, very admiring of the courage of those political leaders who are looking for reconciliation," Kerry told reporters after meeting Defense Minister Elias Murr. There you go, ladies and gentlemen. I had no idea the solution was so simple. Just tell them to stop being so extreme.

What is with all of these Senators and politicians going to these Muslim countries and acting like they represent the Administration of the United States.??

If there isnt a law against it there should be. They are sending mixed messages and undermining American foreign policy, not withstanding they are showing their ignorance by telling the Islaimcs to be good little boys.

The whole bunch should be arrested as soon as their feet touch US soil.

He'd be safe - it's against the Koran to behead somebody while laughing at him.

This oughta work.

Nasrallah certainly will respect Senator Kerry's views; after all, Nasralah is a warrior and Kerry is a war hero!

So lemme get this straight - if we could just get all the people in the world who hate one another to just start hugging, why, the world would be a wonderful place for children and fuzzy puppies. Why didn't I think of this before?

You hear this kind of stuff quite a bit from children and from people who think that you're a child. Effin' could go both ways.

Why didn't they think of that? Takes a genius to fly in with that suggestion.

This spectacle of elected politicians seeking importance is an embarrassment. We actually do have some serious people in elected office...Kyle, Cornyn, Sessions, Hunter...they do not humiliate themselves and their country. Unfortunately, they are seriously outnumbered.
