What would May 1st look like without illegal immigration? There would be no one to smuggle across our southern border the heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamines that plague the United States, reducing the U.S. supply of meth by 80%. The lives of 12 U.S. citizens would be saved who otherwise die a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens each day. Another 13 Americans would survive who are otherwise killed each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals. Our hospital emergency rooms would not be flooded with everything from gunshot wounds to anchor babies, to imported diseases to hangnails, giving American citizens the day off from standing in line behind illegals. Eight American children would not suffer the horror as a victim of a sex crime.

What would happen if all of us stupid white giuys decided to go on strike?
It might be a little tough for a short while as the economy readjusts. Heck, I might consider painting houses because illegal labor has driven the hourly wages down and wages may return to reasonable levels once the illegal issue is addressed.
Why the Unions like illegals is beyond me.
So far my congressman hasn't said much but there are leftist blogs out there calling him a "radical racist conservative" due to his anti amnesty stance.
It's a good sign in my book.
"There would be no one to smuggle across our southern border the heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamines that plague the United States,"
Horse puckey. It will come in one way or the other. And we make our own meth.
While we still do make some of our own meth (usually very small time producers) the majority of the meth comes from Mexican labs these days.
It's a lot easier to transport it witout getting caught than it is to make it without getting caught. I suspect there are lots of little cook shacks just south of the border.
Great, just great. Now we're outsourcing our drugs too? Jeez, we're importing too much!
The unions make money from dues. Union membership is in sharp decline. Income from dues is down. So now the impetus is to grow the union, with illegals if necessary.
The focus of unions is not the welfare of the union members. All at the expense of the American worker, unionized included.
Regards.
The unions used to be opposed to illegal immigration. But from all I've heard, now that their numbers are down nationally they see a tremendous new increase in numbers if the illegals are unionized - which is why they want amnesty.
If we did some of our employers would probably hire illegal scabs from Mexico at lower wages to replace some of us!
We shouldn't be surprised. Remember the old adage that when you can't argue based on facts then you argue ad hominem and start the name calling.
America has pleanty of problems and a good amount of them are due to illegals and the policys wrapped around them. I fear my kids or there kids will be growing up in North Amexico. A fence, mote, snakes, troops, mines, or anything to save our homeland from a takeover, just do something. Do we need to get bombed or have mass death at the hands of others before somebody does anything?
Good article. Illegals bring more harm than good. The same can be said of many legal immigrants who are unemployed, on state sponsored insurance, and tie up our hospital emergency rooms using them as clinics. The entire system needs revamping and I don't care if it's unpopular to say so.
I agree. Your last sentence/question is right on target. Aside from all the economic and social disasters - crime (a third of CA's prisoners are illegal felons), higher taxes for social welfare, overcrowded public schools, the enormous damage from the drug cartel, insolvent hospitals, and bilingualism - there is the national security danger of open borders.
I thought nothing that happened in D.C. would shock me anymore. But I'm astounded that in this age of international terrorism Congress and the president are utterly oblivious to the dangers of insecure borders.
It's also a clear violation of their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution.
"Civilizations die from suicide, not by murder" -- Arnold Toynbee
I agree. There's an organization whose acronymn is CAPS (Californians for Population Stabilization) that says just what you did. I just finished reading a letter they sent to Pelosi - roasting her for being an ardent amnestyite and assisting CA's descent down the tubes!
It's such a shame. It was obvious even to me, CA had a problem 20 years ago.

From Sen. Bill Nelson
But we cant control the situation inside the U.S. until we have control over people illegally entering the U.S. And while the debate stalls in Washington, the illegal immigration problem worsens.
In recent days I have been meeting with Nebraska law enforcement officials to discuss their efforts to fight meth. They tell me that up to 80 percent of meth in the United States is smuggled across our border from Mexico. This influx of meth is taking a financial and personal toll on Nebraska. Recent statistics underscore the troubling but undeniable effects of meth in our state.
Before we can take a clear look at what to do next with illegal immigrants, we have to take action at our borders so we can put a stop to illegal immigration and stop the flow of drugs like meth across our borders. When the Senate reconvenes at the end of this month it should rally around a tough border security first bill that can be passed by both Houses of Congress. Every day that Washington fails to act is another day our borders remain open.

Louisiana Officials Unable to Stop Meth & Mexicans
When the Times Picayune ran an article, which happily announced the arrival of 100,000 illegal immigrants to do cheap work for Post-Katrina contractors, they failed to mention the arrival of drug cartels in Post-Katrina Louisiana.
Corporations and the White House, have been doing a good job at hiding and covering up America's Meth problem. Instead of idiots in Congress, closing the boarders or deporting illegal immigrants, they decided to put a limit on cough syrup! This is our government's answer to Meth? No wonder, we have a nation of addicts and a historic invasion of Mexican drug dealers infiltrating our society.
. The D.E.A. has done a great job on stopping Meth from being cooked in white communities but when it comes to having the tools to battling Mexican drug lords, they get silenced by the Bush administration.Meth2
Meth, Speed, Crank, Crystal was unheard of in Louisiana, just a few years ago but now it is a growing problem. With the inflow of Mexicans into Southern states comes major epicenters of Meth trafficking.
The government does not want to stop them, we are forced to pay for them and our citizens who truly need help are probably getting the short end of the stick because of them. Yet, we are admonished by our government/church leaders/do-gooders to be accepting.
As you can tell this is a 'sore subject' for me. I think I better go have a cool drink and let by B/P return to normal limits!
Good idea, I think I'll join you!
