"The Ineptness of James Kim." is a much more appropriate Title.

You mean his desire to find help for his family is termed "ineptness"? Your comment termed "assinine" is more appropriate.

You must not have read the article, this is about the search and the searchers, not the family that they were searching for.

Thank you! What on earth were these parents thinking, driving around up in the mountains at night, in winter, with 3 very young children including a nursing infant, and out of cell phone range????

After eating dinner at a restaurant (so we're talking night time here), they missed an exit from the Interstate to another major road, looked at a map and decided to take some tiny road through the mountains, that they were totally unfamiliar with. While they were driving uphill in the mountains, on a road too narrow to turn around on (that should have been an early clue to turn around BEFORE they got into trouble), it started to snow, and they got stuck. Very sad, but what happened here isn't the fault of any rescue workers or coordinators.
