You are having trouble with your thinking. I said Reverend Warren appreciated honesty in others. This does not mean he agrees with someone who is honest with a different view.
I surely don't understand the animosity and invective for Reverend Warren. If it is envy, he reverse tithes. If it is fame, he did not ask for it. If it is doctrinal differences, he can't help it.
You seem to have forgotten the chief means (but not the only means) of judging a pastor--whether he brings people to Christ or not. He seems successful at this.
What you want to is to peddle your resentments. The atrocious thing about this article is that it misstates what Reverend Warren actually said and leaves unsaid his appreciation of Senator Sam Brownback. Again a puzzle but seemingly becoming common on the author's Web site.
