Insurgents in Iraq cannot be coerced. They must be killed or captured...

Instead Nagl asserts the insurgents conduct the attacks for propaganda.
"They want those pictures to show up on TVs in America, and they use it to recruit on the Internet," the lieutenant colonel says.
The media: you can tell them, they can report it...but they don't understand it!
The American MSM does the enemy's work...willingly.
Despicable SOBs.
A PC war will always be lost because your enemy will use your PC against you every time. The muzzies are mean, but not stupid.
BTW...If Pres Bush had taken advice from FR...the "war" would have been over a couple of years ago. Most people here know that insurgents must be KILLED and not captured....for once they are dead...they absolutely can't cause trouble.
I think we need to beat this drum. In other words propaganda is exactly what the liberals and the MSM have been doing to defeat the U.S. GWOT efforts.....
As a taxpayer, I want my money back! I paid for this nonsense??!! "We should stay in close contact with the Iraq government" Thanks, Sherlock. The drunk on the barstool next to you could have told us that. IS THERE A FREEPER IRAQ STUDY GROUP HERE ALREADY? If so, please point me to it. If not, we should start one. I have some ideas.
I do, too. I'd love to hear yours and give you mine.
Us demacrats put ar peeple in th govment so.
Whiine - whhine...bu but we can't be bad to the irakee peeple. they mite git mad at us. we gotta givem mor stuf at gantomo so thell be nice en thell see wee wont hurtem.....
The Liberals will cry cry cry if we do what we always NEEDED to do!
I don't believe ANYONE ever won a war by Political Correctness!!
The only thing the terrorists understand is DEAD!
They need to be shown the meaning of the word firsthand.
The only things the MSM understands are ratings and advertising money - they've not been "Americans" for years!
But our ideas would not get any breathless airtime by Katie on the MSM, so what's the point? If a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it, did it really fall?
Maybe you can help me look for the FREEPER IRAQ STUDY GROUP.
What's going on there? Imagine for a second if in the USA, Al Sharpton was sane. Imagine if the cops were really targeting a group of people simply because they were a member of a particular group. In this case Sunnis.
You're right...but that is just the beginning. There is good reading at The American Enterprise Institute. Choosing Victory: A plan For Success In Iraq.
We also want to always successfully keep what we end up doing a secret from all of our enemies as well as away from the mainstream press!
I just posted the comments from a Marine with his boots on the ground. Look for the "Looking the Other Way" thread.
This is what we are up against. Yes, it comes from the liberal Time Magazine but the quotes and experience of a Marine embedded with the Iraq police force speaks volumes.
I'll take his word for it.
These are the procedural cobwebs that seem undecipherable. I believe, infinitely more simply, that we should all of a sudden withdraw to the desert. Then, the factions would be forced to fight (each other) much more conventionally. "Conventionally" means (somewhat) massed forces with real, out-and-out battles. Here is where we would take notes and names. Who are they? Where do they sleep at night? Where do they go to lick their wounds? Then, we target the bastards and we simply kill them. We let them do the ID-ing for us. Believe me: there are scores to settle -- and with us out in the desert, the perpetrators would either have to mass, and fight, or run. It's that mass-ing that has been lacking thus far, and we desperately need it.
As it is now, we don't know who the hell to shoot.
With my strategy, we could root for deaths (of fighters now, not innocents), sell popcorn and root for injuries. As soon as the factions come more into focus, we could send in special forces to wipe their sorry asses out.
Meanwhile, and most importantly, our brave young warriors are out of harm's way.
Sounds like a good plan. The Marines on the ground would love it.
But it's not in the IRAQ SURRENDER GROUP REPORT.
