Poll: Hillary's Support Stalling

Chicago Sun-Times political columnist Robert Novak has some bad news for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton: You've lost momentum.

According to Novak, a national poll of Democratic voters shows that support for a presidential candidacy for Sen. Barack Obama has surged while Clinton is treading water.

Republican pollster John McLaughlin questioned voters on Election Day in both 2004 and 2006 and discovered support for Clinton, D-N.Y., unchanged at 27 percent. Sen. John Kerry, who was second in 2004 at 16 percent, got only 8 percent this year. Meanwhile, Obama attracted 21 percent, up from 2 percent in 2004.

In the GOP race for the 2008 nomination, McLaughlin polled Republicans and found Sen. John McCain and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani had changed positions. Giuliani led McCain by 12 percentage points in 2004 but trailed by eight in 2006.

Hitlery is just keeping her powder dry. Barack Hussein doesn't stand a chance against her.

Let them. The fewer of them are left, the better for everybody remaining. Who, for example, would miss kerry? He is not that good even as a clown.

What the sheeple being polled say now doesn't matter.

When time has passed and they are told by their coalition subgroup leader for whom they must swear allegiance, the numbers will change.

The word has not been passed down yet.

Hillary will be the Democratic nominee. Guaranteed.

I don't know about that. For all her listening tours and a purely undistinguished tenure in the senate, I don't think that she will run much less be the nominee.

As wagglebee pointed out the bodies are staring to pile up.

I don't think that her "handlers" are going to be able to keep the hard questions from being asked. It's one thing to run in 'rat friendly New York, it's quite another to deal with a not so friendly national press. Yes, a great many of them are SHrillary! supporters, but not all of them. She is going to get asked some hard questions, and you forget Peter Paul is majorly pissed about getting dicked over by the Clintons and he has got an ax to grind. The body count, the list of indictments, fled the country, been pardoned for money, and on and on.

"Hillary will be the Democratic nominee. Guaranteed."

Agreed...but barrack hussein obama could be her running mate...

although it would not get any red states..it would draw all blacks and potentially a good dela of women that will vote for her jsut because she is female and not because she actually is qualified.....

the best ticket to offset this crap...is Rudy & Condi!!!!

To be honest I really don't know.

I would suppose that she is pro-life................... maybe not Hillary's.

;-)

I could be wrong, I was once, but I doubt even Democrats would be foolish to vote for either of them in large numbers. I would vote for anybody else even if it came down to Giuliani or that guy from Arizona. I wouldn't be happy about it and would prefer a conservative candidate, but I suppose I would vote for one of my neighbor's cats if I thought Hillary might be elected otherwise.
