The deaths of our sons, daughter, husbands, wives, siblings is a point of comedy for "policymakers," an example of how the stupidos in flyover country are suckered by the patriotism angle every time. How many of EJ's or G Snivelopoulos's children are going? There's your answer.
Sec Def MacNamara published a book in the middle 90s about his role in the VietNam war. In a television interview, Mac said he knew the war was unwinnable from the beginning, he did it because it was fun. When confronted about the American dead, his response was it wasn't my children. When confronted about the tens of million dead Viets, he waved his hand indismissal. The person who confronted Mac was Pat Buchanan, and it's the real reason some here hate him.

We are losing 3-4 soldiers a day to bring the cool breeze of democracy. In Vietnam we lost around 60 per day and never did get to the point we are at now. Nice try, coward.
