Anderson, a Navy hospital corpsman assigned to the Marines, died fighting in Iraq on Dec. 4 and was promoted after his death to petty officer. An admiral will present his family with Andersons Purple Heart during this afternoons service.
Also planning to show up in force are members of the Patriot Guard motorcycle riders. The veterans attend funerals of fallen military men and women to show their respect. They also attempt to serve as a counterpoint to protests by members of the Westboro Baptist Church.
This afternoon, Andersons body will be driven to north Longmont and the start of Lake Park Way. His casket will be transferred to a horse-drawn caisson, which will proceed north on Lake Park Drive to the church. Procession step-off will occur at 1:30 p.m. and will include a police bagpiper and full Navy and Marine Corps honor guards.
After the funeral, six Navy and Marine Corps pallbearers in full dress uniform will return the casket to the caisson. The flag that covered Andersons casket will be presented to his parents, then a 21-gun salute will follow, concluding with the bugling of taps.

Deep gratitude to all who supported or attended...most of all to a young man named Anderson.
Thank you, jan in Colorado, for posting.
Just 'Bumping' really... while I (having both family and friends serving) take the time to reflect how I would deal with this...
