CAIRO (Reuters) - U.S. Senator John Kerry said on Friday he was willing to go to Tehran to talk to Iranian leaders but would not have time during his current Middle East tour.

"I don't have time and we were not able to make arrangements in the short timespan we had but I would be willing to go," he told reporters in Cairo, the first stop on his tour.

Does anyone else see this as a good thing?

IMO, the more this guy is on the stage, the better it is for us.

We now have the Kerry/Nelson/Richardson Three Stooges show......

So far, the State Dept. has told these idiots NOT to go...and Pres. Bush, through Tony Snow has said they shouldn't be doing this..

But, they just keep going...and I don't know whether Kerry doesn't have time...or is just chicken re: visiting Iran...but either way, just saying he would LIKE to go is enough that I think Alberto Gonzalez, Cheney, or maybe even CONDI should get on TV and say that these Senators need to cancel the rest of the scheduled visits...

At least until AFTER Pres. Bush makes his decision and announces his plans for Iraq...because what they say/do over there could complicate our Iraq policy.

Should we start a collection for a one-way ticket?

He's wealthy. He doesn't need a collection. No, wait. He's a liberal; he'll expect somebody else to pay for it anyway.

Cordially,

Let's see...he went to Europe and met with the N. Vietnamese while we were still at war with them...

He went to Nicaragua and met with Noriega, when we were backing the opposition...

Now, he is going to go meet with Syria and would meet with Iran....when we are essentially fighting them in Iraq...

What part of treason/traitor/enemy of the state do we not finally realize he is??

We need to be bipartisan in our anger....Arlen Specter is planning on going over there also..

THIS IS A PATTER FOLKS!

THE DEMOCRATS ARE SETTING UP THEIR SHADOW GOVERNMENT.

There is a reason the democrats are going to see the leaders in the various nations.

They are establishing their shadow governemnt in order to be able to bypass presidential authority.

Remember most of the state department is career paper pushers who are democrats.

They voted for a democrat.

Democrats going to the Middle east, Germany, France, and the UK is a pattern.

We have to be wary of these manuvers they are not just posturing.

Agreed regarding Nelson. Note, though, that Kerry took his trademark straddle position, wanting to talk but didn't have the time. I thought this was Scrappleface at first.
