CAIRO (Reuters) - U.S. Senator John Kerry said on Friday he was willing to go to Tehran to talk to Iranian leaders but would not have time during his current Middle East tour.
"I don't have time and we were not able to make arrangements in the short timespan we had but I would be willing to go," he told reporters in Cairo, the first stop on his tour.

Should we start a collection for a one-way ticket?

I am actually willing to help send him there with a one-way ticket. We could raise the money here on FR in two minutes. Heck, it would only take about 25 seconds.

Thank God for Kerry! The whole ME problem is solved from this day forward!
It almost feels anticlimactic, somehow.

Should we start a collection for a one-way ticket? Yes. I wonder if we could include the senior Senator from Taxachussetts.

Even the Iranians think he's a fool, but he plays right into their hands, nonetheless.

Well, we've got 4 takers already and we're just in the planning stages of giving Ketchup Boy a 1-way ticket to Tehran.
I wonder how much extra strapping a homing signal that the IAF/USAF can track would be ;-)

Should we start a collection for a one-way ticket? A one way ticket might get him the well deserved rubber glove treatment at the airport. Maybe they will find that large stick he's been missing.

The president of Iran has made it clear- accept Allah as God or die.
Having Kerry go is foolish, like Sam Donaldson (wasn't it?) who went to 'nam and just happened to run into people who were there when Kerry ran ashore and shot the kid in the back, or Ramsay Clark speaking in Hanoi.
The propaganda opportunities for our enemies are just too great.
How do you "enter a dialog" with a guy who has said Covert or Die? Discuss conversion scheduling and the logistics of providing prayer rugs and coffins?

But seriously, a senator doing an end-around like this on the State Department and the Administration? I'd have him arrested when he came back, on something anyway.
