"While an Olympic-medal-winning ice skater smiled and listened to Christmas carols, a Riverside city staff member silenced the singing group because she was afraid the skater would be offended because she is Jewish."
"The choir had barely launched into "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" when a police officer and Michelle Baldwin, a city special-events employee, approached choir director Staci Della-Rocco and told her to stop the choir's performance."
"Amber Eyerly, with the New York-based PR firm that helped promote the event, said that Cohen didn't make the request."
"I felt so bad for my kids and that whole situation," Della-Rocco said. "I mean, what kind of a lesson was that? A police officer and a city official telling my kids they can't sing Christmas music?"

It would appear Michelle is a child brought up through the publick skool sistim.

I'm always aware of the depth of religious censorship at Christmas. Our children's school concerts are carefully programmed to avoid any mention of Christ. The music alternates between winter/seasonal favorites and Jewish music. It's OK to sing of Hannukah but not Christmas. I like Jingle Bells and Sleigh Ride, but I'd sure like to hear Joy to the World too. When caroling with a group of our church youth last week, I was sad to learn that they basically didn't know Christmas carols. They knew the music and lyrics to Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells, but no religious carols. Singing them once a year on Christmas Eve just doesn't suffice for learning them.
Why no address to the Riverside mayor or city officials? They need to be asked why a city government official took such unlawful action.
Michelle Baldwin is a putz!
Just what were the police officer and Michelle Baldwin going to do if the choir director refused to stop the singing and proceeded with their program? Tear gas? Nightsticks? Handcuffs all around?
Works for me.
Do abortionists and sodomites actually FEEL guilt?
I think not.
I hope Miss Baldwin will get lots of hate mail.
She needs to be made fully aware of what an idiot she is.
At last! Someone with some common sense.
The irony is the people who want to be "free" from religion will be praying to allah one day when islam takes over and they will be the ones who helped make it possible.
Book 'em, Danno.
Michelle Baldwin flew across country to stand in line for hours to have Jimmy Carter sign her copy of his new anti-semitic book. She thinks Israel is the problem in the middle-east and that Arafat was a great leader. Baldwin also endorses right of return. I can see why she thought that Cohn might be offended.
Sac/on.
One of my Jewish friends {for over 40 years} makes it a point to call me {and many of our mutual friends} every Christmas Day wishing us a Merry Christmas. Several years ago, I asked him why he chose Christmas Day, and his response was, "It's not my Holiday, but since I have the day off and with nothing special to, it is a perfect day to make calls. Besides, we're friends and I know it's an important day to you guys". Nuff said.
Undoubtedly because that's what she learned in her hyper PC university.
That also got me pissed off. That Michelle Baldwin would make such outrageous assumptions. Unwittingly, her do-gooder stupidity generated anti Semitism. The road to hell is paved with good intentions
Michelle, here are two martinis. Drink them down and stick the olives in your ears.
How about posting her email so we can all wish the SB a very Merry Christmas?
What would the fascists do? Arrest them? Mace them? Take out their tazers and stun them?
The Left and PC crowd should be fearful of the day when Christians feel so threatened and cornered that they emulate the muslim hordes and resort to a Holy War against the atheist cabals.
