I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.

How sad to hear of this diagnosis. Our frail bodies, as you well know, sometimes fail, BUT GOD is in control of all things, both temporal and spiritual. You have faithfully upheld me in prayer in the past and for that I give thanks. Now I will uphold you at the Throne of grace, approaching boldly, knowing that we have an Intercessor who knows the feelings of our infirmities... the Lord Jesus Christ.
I trust that God will give you and Mr kayak wisdom, comfort and the peace of God which passes all understanding... and that He will put His healing touch upon you... that He might be praised and glorified!
I remember with much joy the happy times we have spent together and thank God for your faithfulness and testimony of His grace. May the Lord bless you richly as you wait on Him.
We pray that God's MIGHTY hand will be on you through this. And that all of the prayers that you have so freely offered others will now be returned to you with interest.
