Sub-Thread Feature for FR?
FR | 12/13/2006 | Sam

Posted on 12/14/2006 2:26:35 PM PST by sam_paine

Not that FR isn't perfect already, and not that JimRob need be taking requests from the audience.....but....

It would be 'nice to have' a "View All Replies" button to augment the "View Replies" button.

So that you can immediately see the complete back-and-forth discussion throughout the entire thread between Poster B and Poster C, D and E.

Currently "View Replies" just give's you the "Is not!". Then you want to read the "Is too!" and the second, third and etc round of "Is too, too! Is not, not!"

As it is, you can somewhat follow by pressing "View Replies" several times on successive pages.

Just an idea.

One of the most fun threads, 'man hits girlfriend with tuna', or something similar, that was a really a riot. But, I have to think the classic is

Could be, but lighten up, look at the conversation. Have a Merry Christmas, and best wishes to you and your family!

You misused "erred" and mistyped "anal". ;^)

Better than misusing "anal."

What is screen resolution?

Actually, it's quite complicated in theory but in reality it just means how readable the screen is.

Some folks like big font, some like small, etc.

Screen resolution is measured in AL's (Arm Length - from your face to the screen) - the bigger the number of AL's, the harder the screen is to read. Things also get hard to read if your AL goes below a factor of one.

Hope that helped! :)

Don't they measure political alliances in AL's?

It helps plenty thanks. My resolution must be below one. I can hardly see it. I have to keep hitting view and increasing my text size. That's really starting to annoy me. Everytime I click on an article, I have to enlarge it.

Aha! Prufe positive! See, you posted to "1" ad I could've clicked on View All on number 2 and not had to read your heartbreaking post. Since I am a very sensitive person, this would help my self-esteem. Therefore, the software implementation can be outsourced to WalMart Engineers in India, paid for by HillaryCare.

Thansl!

What FR needs is a forum where the thread-starter can filter all replies for, say, the first 15 minutes.

I'm in a hurry, I'm running late, so I'll give my blanket post: I dunno what it is or why it is, or what it is about, but It's all your fault!
*chuckle*

Interesting idea, I have no idea what it would do to the site coding.
John might know.
