...If I had my choice... I would use the "same method" the killer used to kill the victim (rape, knife, torture, whatever!)... but then that would "too cruel!"
And you are telling me that these monsters, that can be so cold and brutal beyond belief, can not handle the little "injection?"
Sometimes even the life of the killer is NOT ENOUGH TO ACHIEVE FULL JUSTICE... because when they kill one person they destroy the life of MANY DECENT HUMAN BEINGS...[sigh]... But I can live with that...
You're right, the Japanese execution protocol is similar to what Former Dodger suggests. The comdemned man is informed that his execution is about to occur and they give him time to write a letter and to straighten up his cell. After the execution the family is informed that it has taken place, and that they have 24 hours to make arrangements to claim the body. After that the government will dispose of it.
Exactly.
is Clemenza still around?
This way everyone knows this was a Clemenza Cheep Shot!
I do understand that, but it shouldn't take ten or twenty years. Another thing that irks me about appeals is how the criminal can file them over and over again. One or two should be the limit, not five or more.
"See the case of Cory Maye from Mississippi."
I checked it out, but considering the hostility that exists between African-Americans and the police, and considering that the police are always accused of being in the wrong, even when it's clear they aren't (the Rodney King case), I'm taking what Maye said with a grain of salt. In any case, the man's death row conviction has been overturned.
"You know though with all of the exonerations that have taken place over the past 5 years due to advancements in DNA testing"
Ann Coulter seems to believe that DNA testing is just another liberal ploy to put criminals back on the street.
Are muslims "enraged"? I've noticed current events do that to them sometimes.
