The longer President Bush refuses to completely accept the Iraq Study Group's recommendations the more irked NBC's Tim Russert and Meredith Vieira seem to get. On this morning's Today show Vieira and Russert seemed dumbfounded that the President has yet to wave the white flag in Iraq as they ran down the results of the latest NBC News poll. Vieira declared to Russert: "As polls go it is as bad as it gets for the President." and after running a clip of Bush cynically pondered: "It sounds like the same old President Bush to me. How much do you think he has taken from this listening tour?" Russert, pivoting off the negative poll results quipped: "Real pessimism. When the Iraq Study Group came out and said the situation was 'grave and deteriorating,' that resonated with the American people. I think the President's political condition as we sit here this morning is 'grave and deteriorating."
After briefly running down the political implications of Sen. Tim Johnson's condition Vieira and Russert broke down the poll results in the following conversation that occured in the 7am half hour of the December 14, Today show:

Ah yes, Meredith and her "hooker boots" showing her bias once again.
Tell ya what honey...you ain't no Katie (I can't believe I just said that). Go back to asking questions on Millionaire and take your seat back from that Pumpkin-headed cow named Rosie O'Donnell.
"On this morning's Today show Vieira and Russert seemed dumbfounded ... ."
That wasn't an act, Mr. Dickens
Well, I think she is hot so I will cut her some slack. What these people don't understand is what principled leadership is all about.
"It sounds like the same old Meredith Viera to me..."
My word, but these people have an exceedingly high opinion of themselves. I believe they have very good reason to be very, very humble.
"He's a humble man, with a good deal to be humble about." -Churchill.
:-)
You think after 6 years they would realize that the President's policy is not effected by polls.
I've seen her close up, early in the morning before makeup, believe me she's not that hot. Makeup is like wallpaper, it covers a multitude of sins.
They're 'dumbfounded' that the President doesn't make a major national security decision based on a popularity poll? They've obviously got the U. S. Presidency confused with a reality television show.
>>>Of course she's attractive. I'm sure at least 80-90% of straight men would give her a second look.<<<
And the fascination would end the moment she bleated some liberal tripe...
She's not bad for her age.
I just heard some WP MoFo on MSNBC claim that in order for President Bush to gain victory he must define victory. I'm not sure how much more clear President Bush can make it for these MSM dyslexic clowns of the definition of victory, Govern, Sustain, Defend Themselves and be allies in the WOT.
Who watches this show?
No kidding. She's 53 later this month.
If she wasn't such a moonbat (and if I wasn't married) I'd hit it.
Pretty much the same interview Russert-THE-Muppet gave last night on the same network at 6PM eastern time.
It's a formula they use.
Step One: talk about Bush, the Republicans, and how the Dems are taking over Congress.
Step Two: cut to Iraq file videos of Iraqi civilians that were killed by Iraqi terrorists.
Step Three: assert that if Bush were smart he'd take the Iraqi Surrender group's and the Iraqi terrorists suggestion that if we just get out of Iraq, all will be well.
