Yesterday, the arduous five-year extradition hearing for Abdellah Ouzghar, 41, finally ended but Madam Justice Susan Himel won't deliver her decision until Jan. 12.
Ouzghar's lawyer John Norris made his final arguments in court yesterday, saying the theory that Ouzghar belonged to a Canadian Islamic terror cell with roots in Bosnia was based on thin and at times non-existent evidence.
In France, Ouzghar was convicted in absentia for forging documents, uttering those doctored documents, conspiracy to do both of those crimes and participation in a criminal organization. He was sentenced to five years in prison. If he's extradited to France, he would be entitled to a hearing.
Howard Piafsky, the lawyer representing France, argued this week that Ouzghar was part of the infamous Mujahedeen Battalion in Bosnia. He pointed to a statement in which Choulah said he knew Ouzghar from Bosnia where they were both fighters.
But Norris said yesterday that Choulah says in the same breath -- in the same paragraph of his statement -- that he doesn't know anyone from the Mujahedeen Battalion.

Ping!
Hoplite, where are you?
And the Serbian authorities were way ahead of the French.
Chewing on his prayer rug.
You know: Here, there, everywhere.
Until you can come up with a sizeable number of Bosnians recruited into Al Qaeda, the whole post 9-11 Serbian dream of tying your war in Bosnia in with our War on Terror isn't going to go anywhere save with the ignorant and the stupid.
Which suits you fine, I know.
And how many Americans they‚w killed? 3,000?
basicaly, you look like a desk sgt interviewing a raped girl:
Hoplite: "Just how many of them gang-raped you?" rape victime: "3, sir" Hoplite: "Until you can come up with a sizeable number of rapist, get lost"
Logic just isn't your strongest suit.
Please don't continue insulting serving US militasry intelligence officers by calling them ignorant and stupid.
US hunts Islamic militants in Bosnia
By Harry de Quetteville in Sarajevo

American military intelligence and the CIA have deployed hundreds of officers in Bosnia to track suspected Islamic militants amid concern that the country has become a refuge, recruiting ground and cash conduit for international terrorism.
Almost a decade after the end of the war in the former Yugoslavia, Bosnia has become a "one-stop shop" for Islamic militants heading from terrorist battlegrounds in Chechnya and Afghanistan to Iraq, according to European intelligence officials.
With five months to go before European Union peacekeepers take over from Nato troops in Bosnia, the United States is preparing for a huge cut in its military presence.
Great find, Archy & an excellent post!
It would have been a lot more excellent if I hadn't glitched the spelling of the word *military*.
But pro-Jihadist propaganda seems to come to you naturally, Dhimmi.
Can you come up with any list of Bosnians recruited into Al Qaeda?
No. You can't.
We've recently pulled the last of our troops from Bosnia, and at last report had left 100 or so intel types to keep an eye on those muj who came to fight in Bosnia and stayed on after the war was over.
Given that there have been no attacks upon our interests in Bosnia (a couple planned, but broken up with the help of the Bosnians) and there has been no reported instances of Bosnians showing up amongst the insurgent forces in either Iraq or Afghanistan, do you have any hope of bringing anything worthwhile to bring to the discussion?
Apparently not.
