Senator Kerry urges dialogue with Iran, Syria

U.S. Senator John Kerry, the Democratic candidate for the presidency in 2004, said on Thursday the U.S. administration should engage in dialogue with Syria and Iraq.

"I think it's important to talk and have dialogue, but you don't give up your principles and you don't make deals that are against your larger interest," Kerry told reporters after talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

"Syria needs to understand that and Iran needs to understand that, but I think it's important to begin a discussion," added Kerry, a Massachusetts senator.

Kerry, who is considering a second bid for the U.S. presidency, cited the example of late President Ronald Reagan calling the Soviet Union "the evil empire" but not hesitating to negotiate with then Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev.

Kerry left the Uunited States on Wednesday for a nine-day visit of the Middle East, including Iraq, and a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but not a visit to Iran.

Fellow Democratic senator Bill Nelson of Florida met Assad in Damascus on Wednesday and said he saw an opening for dialogue with Syria.

"and a meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad"

As I was reading further I just noticed he plans to talk to the President of Syria, a country which is still on our list of terrorist nations, and who are helping the terrorists in Iraq.

Sen. Nelson (D-FL) just talked with Assad, OVER the objections of the Bush Administration and the State Dept. and now Kerry wants to have a dialog.

The Democrats seem to think that they are a shadow government.

I think they should be brought up on charges of treason, convicted and receive the appropriate punishment.

What does this idiot believe we're supposed to negotiate about?

What are we willing to give up?
The answer should be "NOTHING"!
What do we believe they are REALLY going to give up?
If this amateur believes there is ANYTHING they would give up, what does he base this belief on?

Here's the text of the negotiation.

U.S. to Iran - If you stop your nuke program we don't bomb you. If you continue your nuke program, we will bomb you into the stone age.

What's your answer?
You have 5 minutes!

If anyone talks to the Syrians, Kerry is the most experienced. Don’t forget that he held talks with the North Vietnamese in Paris in the 70’s.

The only thing to be on the lookout for, post these talks with Syria is Kerry pushing their agenda when he returns to the US.

Hey maybe he could arrange to join the book tour with Jimmy Carter?

Any officer or soldier who stands up to Jon Carry and tells him flat out that he does not believe him, nor accept his non apology apology, with cameras rolling, will have a great future in politics.

"Ah yes... Kerry visits Syria and supports talks with Iran... and has then the nerve to visit our troops in Iraq!?"

- This guy is completely tone deaf when it comes to his reputation with the troops. He is relying on his position as a senator to make sure that no one in uniform confronts him because he knows they will be disciplined if they dare tell him what they really think of him.
The despicable thing about this is that he knows they can't speak out, he doesn't really care what they think but he is using them anyway as background props for a photo op.

NEWS FLASH!!!
Cardinal declares John Kerry a Saint!

WASHINGTON D.C. -- On Saturday afternoon in Washington, Senator John Kerry's campaign manager visited the Cardinal of the Catholic cathedral.  He told the Cardinal that John Kerry would be attending the next day's sermon, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Kerry to the  congregation and say a few words that would include calling Kerry a saint.

The Cardinal replied, "No, I don't really like the man, and there are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Kerry's views."

Kerry's manager then said, "Look, I'll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to your church if you'll just tell the congregation you see Kerry as a saint."

The Cardinal thought about it and said, "Well, the church can certainly use the money, so I'll work your request into tomorrow's sermon."

As Kerry's manager promised, Senator Kerry appeared for the Sunday sermon and seated himself prominently at the edge of the main aisle.  And, during the sermon, as promised, the Cardinal pointed out that Senator Kerry was present.

Then the Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation, "While Senator Kerry's presence is probably an honor to some, he is not my favorite person.  Some of his views are contrary to those of the  church, and he tends to flip-flop on many other views.  John Kerry is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite and a nitwit.  John Kerry is a liar, a cheat, and a thief.  John Kerry is the worst example of a Catholic I've ever personally witnessed.  He turned on his buddies in Vietnam.  He wrote a book and portrayed himself in the best light when he was a traitor to his fellow servicemen.  He has lied about his military record and had the gall to put himself in for a medal.  He married for money and is using it to lie to the American people.  He also has a reputation for shirking his senatorial obligations both here in Washington, and in Massachusetts. He simply isn't to be trusted."

The Cardinal completed his view of Kerry with, "...But in spite of all that... when compared to Senator Ted Kennedy...
John Kerry is a saint.

(Please FReepmail if you want on, or off, this list.   I certainly have no desire to increase anyone’s stress-level. Thanks!!!)

What utter, simplistic fools.

How "nuanced" do you have to be to acknowledge that Muslims mostly lie to us infidels.

Various parties have held "dialogue" with the Palestinians for decades. How's that working out so far?

I would urge Senator Kerry to have a dialogue with the Swift Boat Veterans and the FBI regarding his form 180 and acts of TREASOM!
