A GENERATION IS ALL THEY NEED
The Toronto Star ^ | D3c 10, 2006 | Deven Haggerty

By the time my four year old son is swathed in the soft flesh of old age, he will likely find it unremarkable that he and almost everyone he knows will be permanently implanted with a microchip. Automatically tracking his location real time, it will connect him with databases monitoring and recording his smallest behavioural traits.Toronto Star

Guns don't kill, people do.
IBM machines didn't kill the jews, Hitler did.

Thank God, Hitler was able to keep such great records.
Iran's I'manutjob is having a hard time saying the
holocaust never happened, thanks to IBM's computers.

Over 6 million jews and 7 million Christians exterminated
by Hitler and his Nazi regime.

The holocaust happened. NEVER forget. Americans are next.

Terrorism, illegal immigration and identity theft will be the driving force to some sort of national ID, folowed by biometrics or chips or something similar. Count on it.

"I didn't know the Bible mentioned a microchip..."

The Bible couldn't have mentioned a microchip. There weren't any microchips back then. However, the Bible does say a "mark" will be implanted into the skin and its very reasonable to assume a microchip being implanted into the skin would be the mark.

The last documentary I saw on this was, initially, it will be used as an excuse to prevent child abductions, and if so, used primarily for the quick location and rescue of the child. It will be an innocent sounding mandate that all preschool children will be required to have, much like routine vaccinations. Parents who refuse will have their children taken from them for child abuse because it will be seen as abuse not to have your child protected. only public schools will be allowed to exist by then anyway and this country will be pretty much a Socialism. No parent would dare go against the state because you would be singled out much like the old Soviet Union did in the past.

So, does anyone still believe that after what happened this last election, that the Socialist/Democrats are harmless idiots that can easily be defeated on any given election? Not to mention that with them in charge, they won't make changes that we cannot undo? This nightmare is just beginning for those of us who are still awake.

Time to buy stock in Aluminum Foil companies.

The Tin-Foil Hat business could go through the roof. ;-)

Personally? I don't care if I'm chipped...

But couldn't the G-chip also monitor my blood pressure and sugar, good and bad cholesterol, triglycerides, etc.?

If the chip could monitor my health as well as my identity and whereabouts, isn't it plausible that the government could monitor my lifestyle as well?

Would it be extreme to suggest that I wouldn't be able to buy that Hostess Ding-Dong if my blood sugar was a wee high?

Now I'm not trying to sound paranoid; feel free to flame me if you think so.

But we know that there are no limits to governmental intrusion.

You're right. Revelation Chapter 13 & 14 says the mark is in (not on) their hand or forehead.
During the coming Tribulation no man can buy or sell anything without this mark of the beast. It also mentions three things; his mark, his number, or his name. We know his number, 666 but not his mark or name...yet.

By the way, "the beast" is mentioned 13 times in Revelation chapter 13. 26 times (2X13) in the book of Revelation.

The Bible doesn't mention cars and city traffic either, but It sure gives a discription of them in Nahum 2:4.

This is truly frightening! I can't believe that any true conservative on Free Republic could possibly be in favor of or not care about this.

I can't either, but it's beginning to look as though we have some here who really think that National ID is a good thing.

"I didn't know the Bible mentioned a microchip"

It won't be a microchip.

The company that was implanting these chips uses a needle that looks just like a ten penny nail.

Nobody is going to volunteer to be stuck with one of those. The technology today can actually "tattoo" a type of bar-code with an ink that is invisible to the naked eye just below the first two layers of your skin.

That's all they'll need. It won't be anymore noticeable on your forehead than it would be on your hand.

It will come with an era of the "cashless" society, and it is coming.
