Sounds like Nifong is hanging his case on the paternity of the child since the DNA evidence didn't pan out. Pretty big gamble on a young woman with such questionable character.

Nifong should be made to pay the boys and then thrown into jail!

I do think you are correct. Obviously, he found out about the pregnancy early on. Has not spoken to CGM, not because of his stated reason, but because he did not want to be put into the position where he would have to ask her who the father was. I think the term, "A wing and a prayer" might describe Mikey's approach to this non-case.
