It's entirely possible he had a brain aneurysm or has a previously unknown brain tumor. If not a stroke, I'd bet aneurysm.

Yep. Though perhaps the development of something like Parkinson's or something else might cause seizures or stroke-like symptoms. The speech and movement difficulties seem to be common to a lot of potential problems.
