President Bush had breakfast with Bob Gates, who will be sworn in Monday as the new Secretary of Defense.

He met with Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi in the Oval. Also in the meeting were Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, Stephen Hadley, and White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten. He participated in a video teleconference, that included Donald Rumsfeld, with combatant commanders and the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq.

At the State Department, Secretary of State Rice met with Iraq Vice President Tariq Ahmed Baker Al-Hashimi, and also met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England, Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer and Australian Secretary of Defense Brendan Nelson and held a news conference with Downer. Rice witnessed the signing of the Joint Strike Fighter Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Australia.

Yup, I am 100 percent clear and free on this one. (It came unwrapped with explicit instructions to eat BEFORE December 25.)

That face ....ummmmmmmmmmgh! Want to squeeze him. Thanks for the Dose, GEM. Technical question: what do you have to type to put all the space between the first sentence and the picture. I thought it was < span > (without the space), but not so.

Well, I was thinking about their ratings and Tony Snow's ability to handle them. But yes, they are still causing a lot of damage.

The only way I know to get more than two blank lines is to type:
(omitting the space after and before the < >)
< font color=white >
. [type a period; it will not be visible because you made the font white]
rinse and repeat for as many lines as you want

then type
< /font >

I thought it certainly looked out of place in the photo.

Wow, that is an interesting idea. I definitely believe he has a future in politics beyond his present, very important role. And he's meeting lots of new people right now. Hmmm.

On FR, I just use < p > which gives you a new paragraph.

Chinese food ... yum.

I had barbecued teriyaki chicken over rice with a very other-side-of-the-world Caesar salad tonight.

*I* didn't know that. Thanks. Will it get my socks clean, too?

If I use < P > < P > (minus the spaces), no matter how many times I type it, the most returns it produces = two. I think STAR was looking for the way to make a big blank space for the scroll down.

Ok ... seems very cumbersome, but THANKS! Wouldn't you think there'd be a code for adding 5, 10 lines at a time? Anyone know what < span > does?

That doesn't add several lines when I do it .. just one. Does it work for you?

I do the
< font color=white > . < P >
and then copy and paste the
. < P >
as many times as I need. So it's not too time consuming.
