Scot Muslim compares Brits to Nazis

One of Scotland’s most prominent Muslims compared the treatment of Muslims in Britain to that of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Osama Saeed compared the “sustained barrage of verbal abuse being aimed at Muslims” in Britain today to state-sponsored persecution of Jews in prewar Germany.

Saeed is the Scottish spokesman for the Muslim Association of Britain and a former Scottish National Party candidate.

“Hitler was a product of German society, where anti-Semitic attitudes had existed unchecked for decades. We have got to listen and learn from what happened there and be vigilant,” Saeed said.

“I am not talking about large numbers of people being rounded up, but we could be looking at situations where Muslims are routinely assaulted in the streets.”

Murdo Fraser, deputy head of the Scottish Conservative party, expressed discomfort with Saeed’s comments.

“I don’t think it’s a rational response to compare the treatment of Muslims in today’s Britain in any way to the horrific treatment that the Jewish people suffered at the hands of the Nazis,” Fraser said.

“An approach of this sort will win no friends.”

Osama Saeed might want to take up this issue with the Iranian nazi, President Ahmadinejad.

According to Ahmadinejad, the Holocaust never happened and the Jews never suffered under the German fascists.

This would make for an interesting debate between these two wing-nuts. One insists that the Holocaust never happened. The other insists that the British are instituting another Holocaust right now, against U.K. muslims.

No, the awakening has begun, in plenty of time. If the Muslims don't start acting civilized very soon, it is going to get very bloody. The Euros have done some very nasty things in other people's countries -- they will be even nastier in getting rid of the barbarians in their homelands.

I agree with this so far. We need to keep an eye out for any intolerant, hate filled groups which are calling for the death of all Jews and for the extermination of all religions and belief systems except their own.

OK, you lost me. The groups with anti-Semitic attitudes which have existed unchecked for decades (at least) are almost exclusively Muslim groups. But there were people just like Mr. Saeed during Nazi Germany trying to distract the world from the real villains then, too.

According to the left, moral relativity does not apply to hegemonic cultures, so current western culture does not get the benefit of moral relativity, but Germany gets the benefit of moral relativity in revisionist history because they no longer have any power. Get it?

In other words, Great Britain's possible mistreatment of Muslims can be compared to absolute history, but the actions of the Germans are not to be judged by any absolutes because they are no longer forcing their culture on anyone, and after all, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
