Read Night by Elie Weisel. It's horrifying, but such an amazing read. My daughter had to read it for school last year, and I picked it up after she was done. It's really short, but I had to keep putting it down because it was so overwhelming.

Was required reading for me in school. Been so long I can't remember what grade. Don't know if it still is but it should be. Schindler's List should be required viewing.
