Ughh....

On another note, I'm trying out a new steak tomorrow.

I just picked up a 'beef chuck flat iron steak', per my Uncle's reccomendation. He swore, up and down, that it is tender, tasty, and nicely priced.

Its cut along the grain, so I will either cut a lengthwise 'pocket' in it, or roll it, stuffed with wild Polish mushrooms (my aunt and uncle hand picked them and gave me some), along with thin-sliced red pepper and onions. I may either grill it, or bake it... still undecided.

But I figure when its done, I'll cut it across the grain, into 3/4" pieces and serve with some mashed potatoes.

I'll let you know how it turns out. I like to stuff duck breasts with a mixture like that. Good when you sautee the onions and peppers first too.

For some reason PeTA threads make me hungry for meat! I'm one who prefers my veggies 'filtered' through a cow or some other animal first :-)
