I don't know how good this is. Vigilante justice in prisons shows that they aren't being run correctly. Plus, there are some innocent people in there. I'm not sure I want a prison system where an inmate can easily kill another for whatever reason. What if one of us were falsely imprisoned?
A bit ironic that we have to rely on other criminals to render real justice, though. Scratch ironic and make that pathetic.
His wife divorced him and he lost his job as a sports bar manager. I guess he didn't want to have to pay the support or maybe he just wanted to get back at her. They had joint custody, so he had easy access to the children. Anyway, he bought a 9mm auto a few days before the killings and ballistics confirmed that calibre from autopsy results. At first, he gave the police that b*llsh*t story about the car jacker, but when that fell apart, he confessed and then plea bargained his way out of capital murder charges, agreeing to two life sentences without parole. He subsequently tried the insanity defense without success.
Your two posts summed up my own thoughts on this subject.
BUMP what you said.
I would be willing to bet that the inmate who killed him is in prison for committing a crime similar to his.The justice system in our prisons doesn't work as good as it use to but it still gets it right once in a while.
Revenge on his wife, I heard.
