There is so much freakin spin, it's almost impossible to know the truth. Some have denied that he ever threatened to sue. According to the Rabbi, it was not the intent to sue. But, according to the Rabbi, the lawyer had discussed with him the possible legal actions, one of which was a lawsuit.

We have yet to hear from anyone from the Port.

Local Rabbi Daniel Lapin was just on, and he says he thinks this other Rabbi ought to apologize.

Personally, I don't think it would have been a big deal to pit up a Menorah.

But face it folks, there's little difference between saying "Do it my way or I'll get the lawyers involved" or saying "Do it my way or I'll send Guido and his friends over".

So I can understand why the Port did what it did. They were under threat. Period. There's no other way to look at this.

pretty clear just by what we do know. The rabbi is now trying to do damage control. We do know that the airport took the trees down and that the rabbi was involved in some way. Not too hard to put the dots together on this.
