Do you not know how to read english? What is it about this quote from the story that you don't understand?
A rabbi wanted to install an eight-foot menorah and have a public lighting ceremony. He threatened to sue if the menorah wasnt put up and gave a two day deadline to remove the trees.

What is it about this quote from the story that you don't understand? Do you know what a direct quote is? A direct quote is, Mr. So-and-so said, "I gave them a deadline of two days before I bring in my pack of attack dog lawyers."
THAT is a direct quote. What you posted is, now discredited, hearsay.

Did you happen to read the first four words of the paragraph from which you quote a news report?
"According to misleading news stories"
This entire piece by Medved is to correct the erroneous reports that the Rabbi sought removal of the trees (which I understand the airport now admits)
It is the airport, which so uncertain of their stance to deny the Menorah, went crazy on the trees.
It would be like a landlord sued on account of discrimination, then refusing to rent to anyone or even burning down his building.
