A group of Muslim imams is seeking an out-of-court settlement with US Airways, saying they should not have been removed from a Minnesota-to-Phoenix flight last month and were not behaving suspiciously. Five of the six Islamic religious leaders have retained the Council on American-Islamic Relations for legal representation and are seeking a "mutually agreeable" resolution, said Nihad Awad, CAIR executive director. US Airways scheduled a meeting with the imams on Dec. 4 to discuss the incident, but the men canceled it and hired the activist group to act as legal counsel. "With the hopes of reaching an amicable resolution to this matter, we would like to take this opportunity to ask for a formal meeting with US Airways executives and legal counsel," said Arsalan Iftikhar, CAIR's national legal director, in a letter to the airline. The imams represented by CAIR include Omar Shahin, Didmar Faja, Ahmad Shqeirat, Marwan Sadeddin and Mohamed Ibrahim. Mahmoud Sulaiman of New Mexico is the only imam not included as a plaintiff. Mr. Sulaiman is the passenger who asked another passenger to switch seats with him to accommodate a blind imam and was one of three imams who asked for a seat-belt extension even though the police report cites his weight at 170 pounds.

If you or I had pulled a stunt like this we'd still be trying to make bail.
The Feds need to convene a Grand Jury and indict these 'imams'.
That'll shut this crap down.
L
Message to US Airways: Either stand up and fight or submit to defeat. You did not pick this fight, they did.
Now That is tort reform!
Of course these boys deserve a court settlement; say about 99 years without parole in Mississippi.
Just another case where the Muzzies have firgured how to use our own laws against us. We may have to quit thinking these people are 7th century idiots.
Even because there's is a hint these prix could
win a lawsuit in this PC culture of ours is a trasvesty.
After obviously trying to manipulate the system US Airways
should be so Pissed off that never again would ANY Imam be
allowed to fly on their airline whether US Airways made
the decision or the other passangers just would not put up
with them flying on the same flight.
Doesn't it have to go to court first?
". . . if I was US Air I'd tell them to eat $hit."
If I was US Air I would countersue, claiming that they intentially disrupted the flight for monetary gain -- the money they though they would get through the lawsuit. I would make their mosques party to the suit, and sell the mosques I won through the suit all to "gentlemen's" clubs that serve alcohol and have lap dances.
US Airways better act to defend themselves. If they dont they will be putting their business at risk.
They are now on CAIRS's official target list for Jihad. Thats an obvious fact. If they cave they may lose all their passengers. Who would want to fly on an airline that allows muslims to terrorize its passengers? Not me.
The next incident like this, all passengers should simply get out of their seats and demand an exit from the plane.
It will cost US Airways $200+ an hour in attorney fees times multiple attorneys. If the case goes on and on and CAIR will made darn sure it is stretched out just as long as they can.... then the airlines stands to loose big bucks even if they win the case. The tendency is to go ahead and settle rather than loose all that money.
Having read the police report, these terrorists posing as imams should be deported. Their behavior was outrageous; they should be sitting in jail awaiting trial, instead of prancing about our country spouting their propaganda mainly to a receptive following, each and every one of them characterized by having a mental disorder -- probably liberal Democrats.
It is a shame the terrified passengers could not file a counter-suit for damages.
Where is the ACLU in this? The non-imam passengers had their freedom to fly seriously impaired.
No, it does not have to go to court first. If the imams do not like what U.S. Airways offers, then they could sue. But, seeing as how the washington times reports have exposed their actions as a stunt, it is unlikely they would get the huge court settlement they expected.
US Air could make pretty good profits out of advertising themselves as the Muslim-free airlines. :0)
