Tough. BY YOUR OWN ARGUMENT, you have to suck it up and vote for the Republicans anyway.
Nope, don't think so. I vote principal over party. If the GOP continues to pander to the libertinarians, they will alienate more and more of the conservative base. Conversely, if they simply jettison the libertinarian baggage, they'll begin to show themselves as a party with some principals and the guts to back it up--and then the full conservatives will come back in droves.

They've already turned against their libertarian base and spoiled the social conservatives rotten. Didn't work out so well for them.
