"The other day, I was wondering how many people are murdered total in all U.S. cities with a population over 100K. I would imagine the death toll would be staggering."

Latest statistics are for 2004: 16,137 homicides that year per 100,000 people, but that's for ALL of the USA. So 310 a week, 1,344 a month.

Actually, I think that's 5.5 per 100,000 people.

16,137 per 100,00 would be pretty staggering. That's the kind of record you only get in the most Democrat districts, like Compton, CA or New Orleans.
