The lingering Jefferson and Mollohan cases may increase pressure for creation of an independent Office of Public Integrity to investigate lawmakers' behavior.

This absolutely frosts me. It's a Lieberman pet project. The taxpayer is supposed to pay for yet another scheme to keep these guys honest. But who will fund this "independent" outfit??? The crooks they are supposed to "investigate." How in the world can we stop stuff like this?

Oh, and I hope Pelosi's headaches are major migraine level.

That line about the Office of Public Integrity was the only one that made me mad....

Like you....I don't want my money paying for more "departments or offices"...and WHO will decide who is on this committee???

If the pickers are the same ones that have chosen the 9/11 Commission and the ISG...it will be a total farce.

We have to let our Congresscritters know..both Houses "just say NO to the OPI!"
