Pinochet didn't have the luxury of a stable, prosperous America that the great Reagan ruled. There was no American equivalent to Allende (although RFK and McGovern were in the same orbit).
Maybe not, but maybe he could have at least emulated the Great Communicator and NOT have people disappear by killing them, but at least jailing them, hm? The tactics he employed were reprehensible under any circumstance.
