An attact would be unwise since the West (US/UK) appears to be in full retreat mode. Why risk an action that might motovate the US/UK people to really fight then they are desparately trying to find someone to surrender to? Nope, no attack comming anytime soon, except perhaps lone crazies, certainly no orgainized (state sponcered) attacks in US or UK.

Why?

The same reason they attacked us on 9/11.

The same reason they attack (or try to) countries that wanted nothing to do with iraq.

They want a fight, because its the only chance they have of winning, although because of their stupidity, they fail to realise that in reality they have no chance.

I go with your analysis.
I fear the Islamics have learned from the experiences of their buddies,
the Nazis.

Lull their enemy into a stupor; cringing everytime one of their
loose cannons gives the West a true glimpse of the REAL mess to come.
If possible, have a long-time "phony war" to steal a march not
on France, but all of the West.

It's sort of like the time period in which Hitler was ticked at Himmler
for conducting a fairly public hunt for pagan symbols and rituals
to replace Christianity for the Germans.
Hitler feared Himmler was going to tip their hand too early.
(This documented in Heather Pringle's book on the Ahnenerbe)

And there are more than enough of those in the millions I think.
