Jindal is running against Blank-o in 2007 for Governor. It is inconceivable that he loses. If he does, I officially give up.
I am planning on taking some time off in 2007 to work/volunteer full time for Jindal.
One of the other dirty little secrets about tonights election, is that it is more than likely that LA-02 will be the seat eliminated after the census in 2010. It remains to be seen if it will be combined with Jindal's district or Melancon's. Either way, it should do quite a bit to dillute the white liberal vote and the poor black vote.
For an Orleans Parish conservative, this election was meanignless. Other than the fact that white liberals are incensed right now; (How can the blacks be so ignorant that they didn't vote for our black candidate) may be more so than after Nagin's re-election. And I would be lying, if I told you I wasn't laughing my ass off right now.
Louisiana politics is very interesting..never boring.
Good luck to you and Jindal...I have heard he is a good man.
Yeah, the gang of "ladies who lunch" who were with Carter during her concession speech seem to represent that group.
"It is inconceivable that he loses."
No it's not. Stranger things have happened in Louisiana.
