Will the Shuttle go or not... It all depends on the weather...
I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't followed too many of the space flights. I am old enough to say that I remember so well, watching the spectacular moon landing!
I posted comment #425 on this thread, and as a result, have become involved in this space mission. I tried spaceflight.com today, hoping to connect to a video of the docking. Must one become a "member" on the site to view a live video?
When I assumed such, I went to nasa.gov, and was lucky enough to connect to the nasa educational channel on windows just in time for the docking. WOW! How impressive. I am in awe!! Watched the docking while talking with my daughter and grandson on the phone, (I directed them to the nasa website)!
If you guys have any suggestions....I have a 10 year old grandson.....I need all the help I can get to educate! He's a real bright kid who loves to learn!
Thanks!

"...aren't part of it."
Oh no?! How many peoples
got a special shuttle flight
just to prove to them
that the world is round?!
The middle east Muslim world
has powerful friends,
vast amounts of cash,
and can cause lots of trouble.
They're in the future.
Can't advise on whether a subscription is necessary. But, there is a tremendous amount of material to become familiar with, and there will be even more as plans for the Ares moon flights get going. If you have a pilot in the making, there is at least one flight simulator to learn about all that on, but it isn't easy!
Remember that Iranian astronaut Ansari? Moslem all the way. Moslems are okay. Islamic fascists are not. Some moslems have gone so far as to say that islamic fascists are not moslem, and that might be so even if moslems are not supposed to be allowed to say someone is not moslem if he claims he is. That's their problem and they will have to deal with it.
Nasa.gov has a lot of stuff, yes spaceflightnow does need a subscription, it 7.95 mo, i have not renewed my sub yet.

You can go here for NASA-TV in the internet. It has options for Windos Media Player or Real Player. Klik the link and enjoy. And no subscription is needed, btw.

"...Sultan Salman Al-Saud..."
A month or two after the attacks on 9-11, I stumbled on a link that had comments from various Middle Eastern leaders and lesser lights. Sultan Salman Al-Saud was one of them. In a nutshell, he said that we deserved what happened. What an a$$hole. We give him a ride to space and this is the thanks for it? No telling who he knocked off that flight to get that seat. And no, I haven't been able to relocate that link. If I do, it'll be bookmarked for inclusion in future threads.
Phased array radar possibly.
THANKS :)
All that is needed is for real moslems to declare the islamic fascists are not moslem. It's really very simple. This would be a small step for those moslems who already ignore some of the restrictions their imams impose such as the ban on images of people or alcoholic drink such as wine. There is quite a list of liberal practices by otherwise moslem people, usually done low-profile but done nonetheless. Everybody knows this, and they do too.

The station's arm is slowly maneuvering the P5 truss toward its installation point. The spacewalkers will offer visual help to ensure the truss is aligned properly.

The final two bolts have been installed by the spacewalkers. The P5 truss is now securely part of the space station. The box-like structure will serve as the spacer between the Port 4 and Port 6 solar array truss modules.
