Frist is throwing out "unanimous consents" out like water .. speaking 90 mph.
I think the tax bill extension was passed.
Thank you.
If he wanted to bow down to the Democrats he would have signed the stem cell bill.
He vetoed it despite reasonably large public support.
OK thats one. In six years.
Presidents don't typically veto much when their party controls Congress.
No doubt. Also, Bush is a moderate, and this is something as head of the repub party we
can not afford to harness. If the repub party is going to be "moderate" then what alternative
do people have when elections come around, they may as well vote DBM/dem.
Repubs need a strong, principled conservative leader who understand the "fight" has the
talent and capability, and most of all the will!
Do you really think the republican Party really controlled Congress?
Robert Byrd controlled it more than the republicans.
The Republicans cant even control their bowels on capitol hill. Lousy leadership and RINO's took away any hoppe thay may have had to run Congress. They let Byrd tell them the rules and they went by them. Watch how fast those rules change now with the democrats back in the majority.
"...Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., told reporters. "We have alternatives, none of which are very good."
The party without a plan doesn't like what they've been left, but then they helped create the mess...

Not to get too far off topic, I keep asking the few democrats I care to talk to, after we surrender and bring the troops home, how many dead civilians on US soil will be acceptable? 3000, 10,000, 1,000,000 just suddenly occuring every so often? Oh well, just the price we'll have to pay? Universally, they seem to have no answer.
