Yeah, but you know, I have a friend, she and her partner adopted two girls who were orphans in El Salvador. She was a very very powerful person in DC, and worked very closely with some of the most conservative leaders in our nation. They had no problem with it.
She and her partner are brilliant, and delightful people who are raising their daughters in a very loving and traditional environment. The kids go to the best schools and have as good a life as possible in this country.
How are they a threat to you? And if it is, you have some serious character issues that you need to address.
Yeah, but you know, I have a friend,
No you don't.
How are they a threat to you?
They aren't. I present a threat to them (strictly, of course, in challenging concepts of virtue and good moral judgment).
I've lived in El Salvador and I've lived in Washington, DC. I would rather be raised in an orphanage in San Miguel than by two upper middle class pervs in Georgetown. The only advantage to your life in DC is materialism. There are many great Salvadorans working with poor orphans in El Salvador.
What you and many of the other "ho-hum" FReepers on this thread don't seem to realize is that once the poster-lesbians like the couple you cite above are used as the model for legalizing gay parenting, you will have the bar-crawling, mixed-up, self-loathing gays who are gay-because-they-were-sexually-abused-as-children adopting children, because it will have been legalized by lawyers pointing to the "brilliant" couples.
