A week or two ago, I saw this pink cell phone case at Staples, looked almost like a pink sock, that somehow tickled my fancy as a stocking stuffer for my daughter. Then I thought it was a little plain, so I've been keeping my eye out for something to pin on it, like Snoopy, Tweety, that annoying bunny with the sarcastic sayings or a Disney Princess (Belle first, Ariel second choice).
Okay, so I stumbled across a holiday Belle pin online and I went to check on ebay. Hey, there it was and it was ending in 13 hours. Cutest thing. I wanted it. There was a bid of a dollar and a description by the guy as getting rid of old clutter to make room for new clutter. I bid between $5.00 and $6.00 (probably should've bid a couple more) so that if someone sniped at the last second, they'd lose. Well, someone sniped a couple hourse early and won.
Okay, so I'm looking for more. Can't be found. Turns out that it isn't old clutter. It was a new pin and a limited edition as well. Only 250 of them. Not 25,000 or 2,500. 250. (At least, that's what the other guys are saying.) They want $14.95 and $19.95 as minimum bids, and those auctions don't end for days, so who knows when it'll be delivered.
Cutting to the chase. I really liked the pin, and the others look stinky in comparison. On the other hand, this year was the first time we started with pins and I'm not spending $25 on one. So, I guess I'm looking for Snoopy now. Bums me out, though, because it was pretty. (Oh, and there's an Ariel one that's quite similar. Also L.E., so I didn't bother searching too hard for that one either.)
Okay, someone spin me a fun tune.
