What other place in the world does the physical location of your birth change your citizenship? And why would we want to be like any of those places? I'm sure the Guatemalans would love to be given Mexican citizenship for having their babies in Oaxaca but you don't see Mexico running around passing out papers to any illegal in THEIR country.
