Spencer's has really gotten bad. I used to go in for a poster or some similar item for the kids. I refuse to go in the door anymore.

As long as Jack Thompson is on the case, this will all be fixed...

Is this Jack Thompson the same Miami attorney who had a feud with Janet Reno, as he had made public allegations regarding her alcohol abuse and other after hours activities?

People can do what they like in their homes.
But really, why put up a CHRISTMAS tree to then adorn it with "pornaments"?
Why not just put up a stripper pole instead?

My sons are 9 and 7. I won't let them go in there, at all. There are some things I just don't want to have to explain, yet.

I went to Spencer's 2 days ago the articles mentioned were in the ADULT section not the children's area their is a area marked with flashing red lights, usually a curtain or bead type curtain to separate the area. No reason for kids to enter unless their 18. Maybe the parents should hang on to their little angles while shopping their.

Exactly.
"A 5-year-old can buy it for his brother or sister and it's just absolutely ridiculous," Wilder said.
If you let your 5 year old walk into Spencer's you're pretty much getting what you deserve. Don't these folks have something better to protest? I applaud them for not addressing it through the government but if they're just finding out about these ornaments they're about 20 years too late

Anything sold in Spencer's Gifts is marketed towards children? Depends on whether we are discussing physical age or mental capacity.

When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to go into Spencer's. If mom had to go there for some dumb reason, dad would sit with us kids out in the mall. I thought it was generally well known that their items were adult-oriented.
Imagining..."I took my kid to the local porn shop and there was PORN on the shelves right where any 5 year old in the store could see it!"

Anything sold in Spencer's Gifts is marketed towards children? Who else shops there? By the time your 15 you've outgrown the bathroom humor they peddle.

"A 5-year-old can buy it for his brother or sister and it's just absolutely ridiculous," Wilder said. This kind of hyperbole is just plain silly. To put it in terms of software development, I'd say "a five-year-old strolling into Spencer's to buy his brother or sister a Christmas tree ornament of Mr. and Mrs. Clause bumping uglies" is an "edge case at best."

To think these trashy people told me not to smoke in their store several years ago.I told,"Guess i don't need to spend my money here either",and walked out.I saw the shocked looks on their faces as i was leaving.
