Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) authored H.R.282, which "Authorizes the President to provide financial and political assistance to eligible foreign and domestic individuals and groups that support democracy in Iran and that are opposed to the Government of Iran."
Last I checked, it was stuck in the Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations. Worthless Senate. :(
I give up...
I say reject the entire report.
New option: Get the Generals together with the top military experts and plan a strategy for victory.
Well said!
I guess the question is: not whether one has nuclear weapons, but rather, who's willing to use them? We have them, but are reluctant. They may acquire them and are eager. This fact, and this fact alone, would bear heavily upon my reluctance.
You got that right! The problem is that one side has been fighting, and the other side has been appeasing. In my opinion, the tendency of Republicans to try to appease Democrats in favor of a "New Tone" has been the very rope which the Dems will hang them with. It is hard to feel sorry for someone who just rolls over and pees himself when faced by a bully. The first time, maybe it's turning the other cheek. What they don't realize is you only have two cheeks to turn, then you have to fight back.
The link envisions perfectly what I have been thinking for a good long time. We could be headed for perilous times.
The DemonRATs with their lust for power have put this nation on a new course, all right. As John Milton, the poet, once wrote:
He trusted to have equal'd the most High,
If he oppos'd; and with ambitious aim
Against the Throne and Monarchy of God
Rais'd impious War in Heav'n and Battel proud
With vain attempt. Him the Almighty Power
Hurld headlong flaming from th' Ethereal Skie
With hideous ruine and combustion down
To bottomless perdition, there to dwell
In Adamantine Chains and penal Fire,
Who durst defie th' Omnipotent to Arms.
Nine times the Space that measures Day and Night
To mortal men, he with his horrid crew
Lay vanquisht, rowling in the fiery Gulfe
Confounded though immortal: But his doom
Reserv'd him to more wrath; for now the thought
Both of lost happiness and lasting pain
Torments him; round he throws his baleful eyes
That witness'd huge affliction and dismay
Mixt with obdurate pride and stedfast hate:
At once as far as Angels kenn he views
The dismal Situation waste and wilde,
A Dungeon horrible, on all sides round
As one great Furnace flam'd, yet from those flames
No light, but rather darkness visible
Serv'd only to discover sights of woe,
Regions of sorrow, doleful shades, where peace
And rest can never dwell, hope never comes
That comes to all; but torture without end
[Thank you all]

Done! Sorry.................FRegards
Has W been with them? After I heard Condi stating that she thought Palestinians just wanted to send their kids to college, I knew that Israel no longer had the support of the US government. God help us for abandoning them.
All in favor say 'Aye'.
If W is so aware of the base, why does he keep pissing them off?
I think that's exactly right. I never worry that England or Israel have nukes. Those nations could not have an elected government that would use nuclear weapons except to save the nation. Iran could use one for its perceived glory of killing the Jews. I cans see them bragging afterward that it was God's will. There can be no moral equivalence when we're dealing with a barbaric regime.
If the Israelis want to survive, they have one option.
They must ensure their future themselves. They must take out the Iranian Leadership and Nuclear research programs and the Syrian Leadership and Nuclear research before our new Rat Controlled congress is sworn in.
Then they need to send their Mossad to handle the Jew haters of America.
Unfortunately, too many Republicans are genuinely nice people. When they're attacked by Democrats, who prefer to attack Republicans than to attack our enemies (since it's painless and the type of inane grandstanding they specialize in), most Republicans are baffled and don't fight back. They assume, like any nice person, they may have done some thing wrong. Wrong. The only thing we've done wrong is stand in the way of hyper-partisan Democrats who care more about power than about defeating our enemies abroad. If we remember the rancor Democrats had for Reagan and their love of Gorbachev, we see that it's in the Democrats' DNA to suck up to our enemies and despise Americans who love freedom and consider dictators immoral.
I wasnt talking about the government, I was talking about the people themselves.
