I miss him already ~~ Pentagon briefings will never be the same. He shows his inimitable sharp, humorous, incredibly intelligent, focused and witty self in this last briefing. What a man! God bless you, Rummy!

Key money line regarding book...
Joyce, his wife, wants him to do it. That, my friends, speaks volumes about the book happening. She is very, very supportive and protective of him.
Watch and learn grasshoppers. That book will be a barnburner...
God bless him and his family.

Don Rumsfeld, Warrior and Patriot. His fatal error was over-concern with political correctness, and also trying to reform the military during wartime. Rumsfeld brought insufficient force and lacked the brutality and ruthlessness we saw in WWII. There was way too much concern over the "Arab Street" and civilian casualties. Yes I know that we didn't face such an empowered Left during WWII, and reporters for the most part were patriotic then compared to the outright traitors now. But the U.S. had carte blanche after 9/11, and Rumsfeld simply did not use that opportunity to get the job done with the massive, merciless force which was required.

Dittos.
Donald Rumsfeld is the greatest American since Ronald Reagan.
God bless him.

I agree. The Afgan campaign went quickly, Iraq too was brilliant at the start.
There was way too much concern over the "Arab Street" and civilian casualties, and ther still is.
They celebrated 9 11.

I am afraid you are right. Sadly, Rummy is my top choice for POTUS.
He'd be a magnificent choice....

The mainstream cable media broke down Rummy's entire talk to this and it sounds inaccurate to me. Did Rummy say that his worst day on the job was "the prison abuse"?
How is that possible? He was dragging people out of the burning Pentagon on 9-11.
(It was on a news crawler.)
