I thought the sole topic of conversation was Laura Bush's supposed faux pas in coming to a White House event wearing the exact same $8500 Oscar de la Renta dress as three other women (she hastily went back to the living quarters and changed into a different dress). Why it's her mistake rather than theirs, I'm not sure. Anyway "Fox & Friends" appeared to think it was the most important recent news story this morning.

"Anyway "Fox & Friends" appeared to think it was the most important recent news story this morning."
That's because the Fox and Friends people are not Texans.
Sigh.....everytime we have a Laura's dress-Haute Couture thread I end up having to educate more Freepers.
Laura is a Texas girl. In Texas, it is not about the dress, it is about what is inside the dress.

I would like to thank the NY Post for their calling out the commission. They just told it like it is.
Nice paper you got there, NY'ers.

Not to fear, Fan...it's on every news stand and held up and read on plenty of subway and train cars...you can't miss seeing the Post and News covers every day. Even if you don't read them, everyone looks to see what made the front page.
Circulation is up, too: 1. USA Today: 2,269509, (-1.3%) 2. The Wall Street Journal: 2,043235, (-1.9%) 3. The New York Times: 1,086,798, (-3.5%) 4. Los Angeles Times: 775,766, (-8.0%) 5. The New York Post: 704,011, 5.1% 6. Daily News: 693,382, 1.0% 7. The Washington Post: 656,297, (-3.3%) 8. Chicago Tribune: 576,132, (-1.7%) 9. Houston Chronicle: 508,097, (-3.6%) 10. Newsday: 413,579, (-4.9%)

Yes it is, indeed. My pleasure.

So I'm picturing thousands of New Yorkers walking by newsstands and seeing this front page.
It makes me happy. :)
