Too bad the MSM, who run our culture, only allow the worship of women like Oprah, instead of this great lady.Definitely bears repeating.

Jeanne was a class act - brilliant - full of opinion - full of thought and intellect.
Yes - her life mattered to many.
Rest in peace.

It is sad to hear of her death. When I was a freshman in college, the seniors asked Kirkpatrick to be the speaker at their graduation and she accepted. When the faculty refused to give their assent to granting her an honorary degree, she respectfully declined the invitation to speak.
Consequently, a fellow Reagan administration veteran and college alum redirected his many millions to a school other than his alma mater. Thus, the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration calls Rochester, N.Y. home and not Easton, Pa.

Ambassador Kirkpatrick's observations about Jimmy Carter's lack of leadership when she was on his National Security Council are priceless.

Yes, but extremely ironic that Kirkpatrick was bitterly opposed to Thatcher's invasion of the Falklands!

If anyone wanted to know what values a woman should possess when she wants to run for POTUS, they should use this dear lady as a model.
Ms. Fitzpatrick was truly a Lady, a breath of fresh air, yet tough as nails and very determined.
RIP dear Lady Fitzpatrick.

She could not be confirmed today. I was about to post the same thing. It will be interesting to see who if any Dems come out with positive comments. At that point any Republican with a "set" would immediately compare her to John Bolton.
Caveat - Requires we find a Republican with a "set".

A finer person never held the Ambassador rank at the U.N. representing the U.S.A. She was a true patriot, and a great American hero. May God bless her and keep her, and may her family find peace and happiness in knowing how much she will be missed by all.

This is the ONLY woman I would have considered for President.I would have loved to have seen Bush41 pick her as his running mate in 1988.

Women like Kirkpatrick show the folly when liberals imply that conservatives don't like tough, strong women. We just don't like tough, strong, liberal women.

Yes, but extremely ironic that Kirkpatrick was bitterly opposed to Thatcher's invasion of the Falklands! She was opposed to the invasion, but her opposition never became personal. Great leaders don't have to agree on everything. (BTW, I wouldn't call it invasion, but rather a military act to drive out the invaders.)
