If you want to pull people back together why are you push a Rino who is so opposed by so many conservatives that the party will need in 2008? Rino Rudy will split the party and is unelectable.

You and some of your pals admitted we lost in 2006 because the social conservatives stayed home. Since we cannot count on you and others, then we need to start putting other coalitions together.

A social conservative will NEVER be elected President no matter how much you want to stomp your feet, whine, and threaten to leave the Republican Party (which I am beginning to have my doubts about your efforts for the GOP) because the 'my way or no way' social issue crowd has alienated a large portion of Republicans not to mention Indy's that we need to win elections.

If you were involved in local politics, you would know we are outnumbered sometimes in large numbers of Dems over the GOP and you don't win as a one issue candidate in a national race because you have to attract Indy's to win. If we listened to you guys, we would be in the permanent minority. Go look at the Contract with America and you will see that social issues were not a #1 priority. Whoever got you folks believing that it was a #1 priority in 1994 could sell swamp land in Arizona. We elected fiscal conservatives in 1994 that also happened to be some social conservatives but they ran on a platform of less taxes, smaller government, ethics, accountability etc.

Conservative does not mean only 'social' conservative as much of some of you keep pushing that button.
