Nofziger was a good guy and a character.
When I was working at the Reagan campaign headquarters here in San Diego when Reagan first ran for Gov. I remember setting up a TV interview with Nofziger and Reagan.
Lyn never swayed. He was a conservative's conservative.
I think Ed Meese is much the same way. I miss guys like them. And, of course, Reagan. I remember being at a Phillies game one day and hearing that Reagan had just bombed the crap out of Libya. Right out of the blue. I smiled through the whole game.
It makes me wonder if one day the news will come across the wire that Bush blasted Iran. Or Syria. Or both. Right out of the blue.
